Elwood, Vern and I decided to open this here store in order to keep up with this new e-commerce thing. By the way, Elwoods where we got the 'e' for our e-commerce. Most of the time he's cuttin' hair in the tonsorial parlor in the back.
Now we ain't got no shopping carts or secure servers or none of that stuff. As a matter of fact, our servers are a mite jittery. Anyhow, here's how it works.
If you folks got something you want to buy or sell that pertains to boating.........especially sternwheel boating, send us some information about it. This might be things like whistles, horns, search lights, radios, winches, dual power refrigerators and things like that. We'll even try to sell stuff like boats, barges or river-front property.
To sell an item, just send a complete description and a picture, if you've got one, plus what you're askin' for it. Along with this, we'll need your name, address, phone number and e-mail address. Vern'll look it over and decide if he wants to include it. If he does, it'll show up in the FOR SALE section. Anyone who's interested in an item should get in touch with Vern use'in the link provided. Be sure and include your complete contact information and Vern will put the two of you in touch.
Those of you lookin' to buy some particular thing, let Vern know just what you want and he'll probably include it in the WANTED section. Don't forget to include your contact information. Anyone who's got that item should respond use'in that link and Vern'll put you in touch with the person lookin'. Simple, huh?
Now, if the two of you work out a deal, we would like a li'l ol' 10% commission, figgered on the final selling price, for our in-val-u-ble service . We don't require no contracts or nothin' like that 'cause we know you folks is honest and'll square up with us. 'Course if you don't, there's always Elwood to deal with. (it's been said that Elwood's meaner than a 'junkyard dog')
One more thing. We ain't greedy so, for big stuff like boats and property, don't worry 'bout the 10%. We would though, like some sort of ah finders fee . We'll leave the amount up to you 'cause we know y'all be fair.
