Thoughts From The Pilothouse
This is a page with no particular goal in mind other than perhaps entertain. The topics will be widely varied, are only my thoughts on the issues and are not intended to sway or guide your thinking in any way. Seldom has anyone's arguments caused others to change their minds about anything. I might however, raise some points that you've never considered. There may be times when you agree with me and times when you don't. There may be times when you get upset and angry with me. That's okay too. All you have to do is hit the back button on your browser, go to a different site or shut your computer down. If I upset someone, I'll apologize in advance but, I'll tell you now that you're reading at your own risk. Having spent better than half of my sixty plus years around the river, I guess I'm considered a river person or 'river rat' as some would say. One characteristic I've found in fellow river rats is that they aren't afraid to speak their mind and quite often, their thoughts are logical and make a lot of sense. Or, perhaps it's more like a plaque I have above my instrument console which reads:
Our Captain Is Always Right, misinformed perhaps, sloppy, crude, bullheaded, fickle and
even stupid but, NEVER WRONG!
Well, whatever, please feel free to browse the topics, read if you like, agree or dis-agree. At least the time you spend here means less time that you're spending looking at the STUPID TV and that's got to be beneficial to you!
